1 Yes - dance remix.

2 He-Man and Skeletor are epic. The music and muscles made it feel like Roman gods when I was a kid. I see it less as toxic masculinity and more as thinking about how cool muscles and strength are. As long as kids see them as mythological creatures and not real-steroid pumping gym rats, we're ok.

3 I dunno but I guess all press is good press??

Thanks, Kathleen!

1. On it

2. I do think that all of these characters are weirdly sexualized at least in terms of body image. I don't want to imply that confused a generation, but it seems odd. The new She-ra cartoon was actually really good and positive, enjoyed watching it with my daughter.

3. Yep, will try harder to get sued next time.

This was just so awesome—such good, good FUN to watch and listen to. Loved the narrated sound effects: Boom!, Zit Zat, Clang, and the soundtrack overall. Also loved the ending and your choice to include your children’s (I think) voices/thoughts re just what may have happened to Skeletor. 🤔🤓

Favorite line(s) from that last page:

The sun came out and drove the demons away. The trees began to turn green and the flowers began to bloom.

I watched this show occasionally as a child and remember being kind of frightened by it (it is a bit dark; lots of lessons re duplicity / trickery etc.) but I just had to keep watching... You get all the stars. ✨💫✨

Thanks so much for this lovely comment Veronica! Yep, those are my kids who asked what happened to skeletor then gave their responses. They have been really into the video and keep wanting to watch it, which is great. But now I'm getting sick of it. Ha!

I have been retained by He-Man Stars Ltd and directed to order you to Cease and Desist your unlawful use of He-Man, and He-Man affiliated, copyrighted material and to moreover surrender The Thief of Castle Grayskull and any He-Man toys your children may possess. Your use does not fall under the parody exception for lack of anything objectively humorous. It is also recommended, although ultimately not legally enforceable, that you also cease and desist your life.

I make funny voices? 4 year olds think this is funny...or scary. Understood, will cease and desist "livin life" immediately.

In my personal capacity, I find it funny. But I was speaking for my client, He-Man Stars Ltd.

Yikes! The self-reference is wild and right-on! It’s my favorite part. And the entire setup makes me want to do something for an old play-along of “Black Beauty.” I never liked Masters of the Universe, but you can make it entertaining listening!

Oh, and turn the page when you hear the distorted electro-chimes!

Haha, this idea was especially dumb, so I had to do it. Thanks for checking it out.
